The work “VAYEHI OR” is a huge part of our social responsibility.

We chose to take a provocative action that will create ripples of light, optimism and renewal.

An experience of real presence arises from awareness and sensitivity to everyday reality and not from denial or suppression. Therefore, the events of the 7th of October that still accompanied each one of us , every single day, and cannot be ignored.

The idea stemmed from the vision that light can be produced, even from the greatest darkness.

The essential value in our work, maintaining the honesty of the material, is what led us to collect the actual materials that contains deep and hard scars and charge it with a new energy that will spread light from it.

The tree trunks were collected from the Gaza Strip, from the party area and kept in their natural form with minimal processing, out of the proper respect we acquire for them.

The trunks arrived bruised and partially burned, so we chose to intensify the feeling and put them through a process of controlled burning that will create the full effect of shock and amazement.

The brass metal strip went through polishing, cutting and engraving processes and was threaded very gently and in a precise and meticulous manner in order to create a clean minimalistic and modern look into the burnt wood slice.

We created an almost completely opposite combination of materials,

soft and hard, raw and processed,

sooty and murky against shiny and sparkling,

old and new

despair and hope,

Darkness and light.

We invite you to be an integral part of the new energy we have created and bring it into your home.

All proceeds from the purchase of “Vayehi Or” will be donated to the The Hostages and Missing Families Forum in order to continue working for the return of everyone to their homes.
